When singer Gianna Nannini became a mother in her mid-50s, it caused a stir. Now she is confronted with her daughter’s puberty.
Italian rock singer Gianna Nannini (“Bello e impossibile”) has many discussions with her teenage daughter Penelope. “It’s a difficult time,” the 69-year-old told Gala magazine. Your daughter has her own character and knows exactly what she wants. “I often have to discuss the smallest things.”
For Nannini, who gave birth to her daughter in 2010 and became a mother for the first time in her mid-50s, this is, according to the report, exactly what she wants as a mother: “It’s important to me to let my daughter know that she is independent and free.”
The singer with the grating voice had one of her biggest hits with her song for the 1990 World Cup, “Un’estate italiana”, and will be 70 years old in the summer. About two weeks ago she released her album “Sei nell`anima” with songs with which she returns to her soul and blues roots. From the end of November, Nannini will be giving numerous concerts in Europe – including some in Germany, for example in Munich (November 28th), Hanover (November 30th), Frankfurt (December 1st) and Berlin (December 3rd).
