Angelina Jolie (48) gets family support when she appears on television. The actress was seen on May 13th. She spoke to the cast about the success of the Broadway show she produced, “The Outsiders.” Her youngest daughter Vivienne (15) worked on a voluntary basis as her mother’s assistant on the project – and the 15-year-old couldn’t miss the TV appearance either.
While the Oscar winner was talking to presenter Hoda Kotb (59) about the musical, her daughter could be spotted in the crowd of the cast. When asked about this, Jolie said that Vivienne first gave her the idea of the musical version. “I think this is to say to all viewers and those who will see it that it’s about family. That’s the same reason it appealed to her and the same reason she wanted me to sit next to her and “I look at it,” she explained.
“The Outsiders” is nominated for twelve Tony Awards
The musical, which premiered on April 11, is heading into next month’s Tony Awards with twelve nominations, including in the Best Musical category. Angelina Jolie was also made aware of the success of her production by Vivienne. “I woke up. My daughter was sitting on my bed and telling me. And I love this group so much and I’m proud of the work they’ve done,” she told Hoda Kotb about the morning of the announcement.
