Former tennis world number one Boris Becker and his partner Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro are engaged. Becker’s lawyer Christian-Oliver Moser confirmed this to the German Press Agency after the “Bild” newspaper had previously reported on it. Moser did not want to give any further details.
The paper also reported that Becker did not want to reveal when the engagement took place or whether there was already a wedding date. The 56-year-old referred to his privacy.
According to “Bild”, Becker and his partner appeared at the Cannes Film Festival, where the documentary “Nasty – More than just Tennis” was presented. The film is about the former Romanian tennis player Ilie Nastase (77).
Most recently, Boris Becker and Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro made the Italian city of Milan their new home. In December 2022, Becker was released from British custody and deported to Germany. He had previously been convicted in London for concealing millions of euros in assets from his insolvency administrators.
