Because pregnancy was tailor-made for Lady Gaga, her colleague Taylor Swift is speaking out against body shaming.
Taylor Swift (34) obviously had to speak out digitally on this topic: “Can we all agree that it is intrusive and irresponsible to comment on a woman’s body? Gaga owes no one an explanation and no other woman does either,” the singer wrote in a comment on the TikTok video with which her colleague Lady Gaga (38) denied her alleged pregnancy on Wednesday (June 5). The musician recently defended herself against pregnancy rumors after she was photographed with a little belly.
The belly of the offense
In recent photos from the wedding of her sister Natali Germanotta (32) last weekend, the singer can be seen next to her partner Michael Polansky (46) in a tight black dress, under which something is rounded in the middle of her body. The British newspaper “The Sun” published the photos and the rumor that she is pregnant. A possible pregnancy with a quote from the song “Down Bad” by Taylor Swift: “Not pregnant – just devastated, crying in the gym”.
But (not) a pregnancy
In May 2020, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, Gaga’s real name, told InStyle magazine that she was looking forward to being a mother. “Isn’t it incredible what we can do? We can carry a human being inside us and let it grow. Then it comes out and it’s our job to keep it alive.” Shortly afterwards, her relationship with tech CEO Michael Polansky (46) became public. In April 2024, speculation about an engagement circulated after the 38-year-old was spotted with a suspicious ring.
Swift’s solidarity is no coincidence
There is a good reason why pop star Swift is suddenly speaking out about such private matters. She herself has been subjected to frequent pregnancy speculation in recent weeks because she appeared rounder in the stomach region in a skin-tight bodysuit during her most recent concerts on her “The Eras” tour. The country pop singer has been officially in a relationship with football pro Travis Kelce (34) since September 2023.
