Author Richard Osman created the popular crime series, which is now set to be made into a film. Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan are among the prominent cast.
The streaming service Netflix wants to film the crime novel “The Thursday Murder Club”. British author Richard Osman’s book has also become a bestseller in Germany – the book tells the story of the residents of an English retirement home who join forces to solve criminal cases.
Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan and Ben Kingsley are set to star in the film adaptation. Actor Richard E. Grant (“Saltburn”) is also set to take part, as Netflix announced.
Chris Columbus (“Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”, “Home Alone”) will direct the project. It is not yet known when the film will be released. Osman has now published several novels about the “Thursday Murder Club”.
