Pop star Michelle and her fiancé Eric Philippi want to make a stand against hate on the internet – and are stripping naked to do so.
Last year, pop singer Michelle (52) and her music colleague Eric Philippi (27), who is almost 25 years younger, made their relationship official. In June 2024, the couple surprisingly announced their engagement. The two are regularly faced with a lot of criticism, especially because of their age difference. They now want to defend themselves against this – and are basically stripping naked on Instagram.
Michelle shares nude photo against online hate
On Tuesday, she and Philippi were shown almost naked. The two musicians were leaning on a kitchen counter, demonstratively turning their backsides to the camera. Both were only wearing underwear, Michelle in a black thong. They had placed hearts with the title of Michelle’s song “Love me or leave it be” over their butts.
With the post they want to take a stand against hate on the internet – and the two of them get plenty of it. Numerous negative comments such as “To bed with grandma” or “It’s great when the nurse takes care of his elderly patient” are displayed one after the other. Michelle writes: “My heartfelt condolences to all the people who think they have to insult others in the worst possible way to feel better! Remember love!” She added the hashtags #lovemeorletitbe and #againsthateontheinternet.
The couple received a lot of support in the comments section for their daring message: “I don’t know who says that the man has to be older. Age is just a number. I think you’re a great couple,” they say. Some fellow musicians also agree with Michelle and Eric: “Don’t let anyone talk you into anything, dear Michelle, you’re still a long way from being old! You’re a great lady!” writes party pop singer Mia Julia (37). Joelina Drews (28) comments: “Celebrate yourselves for it, just like that! Big hugs to you two.”
Michelle has three daughters
Michelle and Eric Philippi announced their engagement in June during the recording of the ARD show “Schlagerbooom Open Air – The Stadium Show in Austria”. Michelle has already been married twice: from 1995 to 1999 to singer Albert Oberloher (61) and from 2007 to 2010 to Josef Shitawey. The singer has three daughters from three relationships. Her eldest daughter, Céline Oberloher, was born in the same year as Eric Philippi. Daughter Marie Reim (24) from her relationship with Matthias Reim (66) is also pursuing a career as a pop singer. In 2008, Michelle became a mother for the third time.
