Originally it was located 30 km from its current location, at the Estancia “Los Cerrillos”, but in 1987 it was moved to its current location, at the intersection of JM de Rosas and Belgrano streets, where the Monte guard fort used to be. It is a typical Buenos Aires construction of its time; the roof consists of a bamboo-type framework, made from horse leather. The walls are made of mud and straw, about 45 cm thick and the floor plan is “chorizo” type, with four successive rooms.
