The film starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman will be the only Marvel movie released in 2024.
The only movie of Marvel Studios 2024 and one of the most anticipated of all time is just a few days away from its release.
A new report from Deadline revealed that early screenings of Deadpool & Wolverine show that the film is on track to break every box office record imaginable for an R-rated film. The report says that based on early screenings and ticket sales, the third Deadpool movie is currently on track to open with a worldwide weekend total of approximately US$350 millionwhich would be the highest of 2024 by a considerable margin of more than $50 million over the current first-place holder, Inside Out 2 .
These numbers are likely coming from a number of places. It certainly helps that this is the only Marvel movie of 2024, and since November, when fans flocked to the theater to see The Marvelswhich underperformed terribly at the box office. The Marvels was the third MCU film to be released last year, so it’s possible there’s a bit of fatigue factor at play. There’s also the obvious facts that both Deadpool and Wolverine are beloved characters, this movie is all but confirmed to be a multiversal smash hit with cameos from all corners of the universe.

Through its website, Marvel Studios shared the official synopsis of the film Deadpool & Wolverinewhich attracted a lot of attention due to its content.
“Marvel Studios presents its most significant mistake to date: Deadpool & Wolverine. An apathetic Wade Wilson struggles through civilian life. His days as the morally flexible mercenary Deadpool are behind him,” begins by revealing this summary of the film’s central plot.
In the second part, the studio noted: “When his homeworld faces an existential threat, Wade must reluctantly return to suit up with an even more reluctant… reluctant? more reluctant? He must convince a reluctant Wolverine to… Fuck. Synopses are fucking stupid.” With this, the audience that has been waiting for the film for so many months has only added to the anticipation.
