A Complete Unknown Trailer

In the trailer, Chalamet walks through the streets of Manhattan, passing Dylan’s favorite haunts like Cafe Wha? and the Chelsea Hotel. The actor also sings a moving version of Dylan’s 1963 protest song, “A Hard Rain’s a-Gonna Fall”. It seems that a love triangle is beginning to form between Dylan and Joan Baez (Monica Barbaro) and Sylvie Russo (Elle Fanning), who appears to be a fictional version of Dylan’s then-girlfriend Suze Rotolo, who appears on the cover of the album “The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan”.

Mangold has described the Dylan in his film as “a drifter who comes from Minnesota with a new name and a new outlook on life.” His arrival causes a “shock in the folk community and in what they considered proper and illicit folk.” The real-life Dylan, who is 83, gave notes on the script and met with Mangold several times.
