A walk in the park without cameras? Unthinkable for Hollywood stars like George Clooney and Brad Pitt. Clooney in particular does everything he can to protect his children from the public eye.
Hollywood star George Clooney wants to prevent photos of his children from being made public. “We are dealing with serious issues, with people who wish us harm,” said the 63-year-old in an interview with “GQ” magazine. “That’s why we don’t want photos of our children to be circulated in public.”
Other, equally well-known people would find a way to lead a normal life. “They can walk through New York without being followed,” explained the Oscar winner. But for him, this was never possible.
“There was never that moment where we could just go for a walk in Central Park,” he said, presumably with his family in mind. The actor has been married to British-Lebanese lawyer Amal Clooney since 2014, and the two have had twins, a boy and a girl, since 2017.
Clooney stressed that he does a lot to remain private. “There are times when you’d rather avoid going to the hospital with something you would actually go to the hospital with.” His acting colleague Brad Pitt added: “It’s an instant headline. I think I’d rather just let the wound heal.”
Clooney and Pitt will soon be seen together in a new film: “Wolfs” by Jon Watts. The action comedy will premiere at the Venice Film Festival, which takes place from August 28 to September 7.
