Apparently the field of participants for the upcoming edition of “Last One Laughing” has been decided: After the Kaulitz brothers were already known, there are now more names.
In October, fans of the hit Amazon series “Last One Laughing” with Michael “Bully” Herbig will finally get a new episode. Although Amazon is unlikely to release a full season, there will be a Halloween special. The last time such a special was released was in December 2023. Unlike normal seasons, the special editions only consist of three episodes – not six.
The “Bild” newspaper has already reported that the Kaulitz brothers Bill and Tom will be taking part. But how long remains to be seen. Bill, who is a cheerful character, will have a particularly hard time not laughing at every joke. But there is always a certain amount of cannon fodder – Barbara Schöneberger, Klaas Heufer-Umlauf, Joko Winterscheidt and Ina Müller were also not particularly confident in the past seasons.
Only three new faces
In the upcoming special, the brothers will certainly not have an easy task, as the “” has now added the rest of the field of participants. Mirja Boes, regular Torsten Sträter, Palina Rojinski, Olaf Schubert, Annette Frier and Sasha will also be there. Apart from the Kaulitz brothers, only Sasha is new – the rest have an advantage in terms of experience.
Torsten Sträter and Mirja Boes have already won “Last One Laughing” – so they know the format very well. Olaf Schubert also cost the participants important lives in several seasons. Palina Rojinski has a second chance after her early exit in the third season. But it probably won’t be easy.
Special rules in Last One Laughing specials
As a reminder: “Last One Laughing” is about not laughing under any circumstances. Everyone is allowed one laugh, and if they make a second mistake they are kicked out. Whoever was able to suppress their emotions best at the end can donate the prize money of 50,000 euros to a good cause of their choice.
If Amazon keeps the special rules from the last special, the participants will most likely compete in teams again in the Halloween edition. In the last Christmas special, this meant that if one laughed, both lost a life. So a double challenge for the Tokio Hotel brothers.
It also remains to be seen whether there will be guest appearances by former participants in the upcoming special. Anke Engelke and Bastian Pastewka are already part of the cast, and Max Giermann is also an integral part of the format. If one of the Kaulitz brothers, especially Bill, survives, it would be a small sensation.
