Allstars Jungle Camp: Who are the favorites?

Allstars Jungle Camp: Who are the favorites?

In “I’m a Celebrity – Showdown of the Jungle Legends” jungle camp all-stars have the chance to win 100,000 euros. Who could win?

“I’m a Celebrity – Showdown of the Jungle Legends” premiered on August 15th, and from August 16th (8:15 p.m.) it will also be shown on RTL. Former jungle camp stars will face the adventure again in South Africa. But who has a good chance of going home with the 100,000 Euro prize money in the legends camp? A look at their performances in their respective jungle camp seasons or in other reality formats could provide some insight.

Winfried Glatzeder

Actor Winfried Glatzeder (79) is the oldest candidate in the summer Allstars camp. He was there in season eight in 2014 and came fifth out of eleven. After that, he went back to his acting career and stayed away from reality TV. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to cope with the old hands of reality TV. “I’m excited to see if I can stand the crazy group in the camp,” Glatzeder said in an RTL interview. “But I see it as a challenge and am curious to see how it turns out.”

David Ortega

“Big Brother” participant and former “Cologne 50667” actor David Ortega (38) was part of the tenth season and only managed to reach tenth place out of twelve in 2016. He was the first to be voted out by the viewers, two camp residents before him left the camp voluntarily or for medical reasons. The job-seeking actor, who lives a vegan lifestyle, now wants to use the jungle as a career boost. Due to his long absence from reality TV, Ortega is also a surprise package, but he is guaranteed visual attention in any case. The actor has completely changed his look with long hair and a beard.

Hanka Rackwitz

Former “Big Brother” candidate Hanka Rackwitz (55) took a respectable second place out of twelve in season eleven (2017) behind Marc Terenzi. “I can deal better with my compulsions and fears, but a lot of personality has come to the fore now,” she announced. Will this prove to be true and will she lack the reality TV experience she has had in recent years to prevail against the “professionals”? Since her participation in the jungle camp, Rackwitz has largely withdrawn from the public eye, isolated herself and avoided other TV formats.

Mola Adebisi

Presenter Mola Adebisi (51) was part of the show in 2014. The former VIVA presenter “only” came eighth. He and his wife Adelina Zilai (36) were also the second couple to leave the celebrity flat share in “The Summer House of the Stars – Battle of the Celebrity Couples” in episode six. “My main focus is on losing weight,” he explained in front of the legends’ jungle. Is he actually focusing on challenges that could lead him to victory?

Sarah Knappik

She caused quite a stir with her participation in the jungle camp: Ex-“GNTM” candidate Sarah Knappik (37) had to move out more or less voluntarily in 2011. She moved out on the advice of her fellow campers and came eighth out of eleven. She was thus the fifth jungle star to date to voluntarily leave the show. She also refused to take part in the jungle test “Out of the hollows” and abandoned the test “Through the wall”. This means she is the only “test refuser” to take part in the summer jungle camp. She had to compete six times in total. Participation in “Celebrity Big Brother” or “Battle of the Reality Stars” did not bring her a big win either. But Knappik still seems to have the fighting spirit, saying of the legends jungle: “My motivation is still there. I want to find my peace and challenge myself.”

Georgina Fleur

Former “Bachelor” candidate Georgina Fleur (34) wanted to win the crown in 2013, but ended up finishing sixth out of twelve. With seven tests, Fleur is one of the stars who has completed the most tests since the format began. “I’m afraid of everything: all things, all animals, the other candidates, the weather, the tests,” says Fleur, giving little hope of a good performance in the legends jungle. However: “I really want to win the jungle crown and will give it my all. I’m a fighter and have been successful in games and challenges in other reality formats.”

Giulia Siegel

DJane Giulia Siegel (49) took part in the fourth season in 2009. She voluntarily left the camp due to back pain and finished fifth out of ten. She was only the fourth star to voluntarily leave the show. She also emerged without a win in the game-intensive shows “Sommerhaus der Stars” (2017), “Kampf der Realitystars” (2023) or “The 50” (2024). In 2021 she won “Promis unter Palmen”, but the finale was not broadcast after the death of candidate Willi Herren.

Elena Miras

Dating show veteran and “Love Island” winner Elena Miras (32) has already had a few reality formats behind her. In the 14th jungle camp season in 2020, she finished sixth out of 12. This was followed by successful appearances in the “Sommerhaus der Stars”, which she won with ex-partner Mike Heiter (32), and in the “Kampf der Realitystars”, which she won for herself in 2022. The winning mentality can help her, only living together with her fellow campers could stand in her way. In the jungle camp, she clashed with Danni Büchner, Raúl Richter and Sven Ottke.

Squad Loth

Nobody can fool her either: Reality queen Kader Loth (51) came fifth out of twelve in 2017. When it comes to sympathy points in the camp, Loth could also have problems. “I’m like a ticking time bomb. No one should mess with me,” she announced. She looks back on participation in “Die Alm” (winner), “Die Burg”, “Kampf der Realitystars” and “Sommerhaus der Stars”.

Danni Buechner

Daniela Büchner (46), who is well-known for her permanent presence in reality and thus a lot of challenge experience, can also boast of “Goodbye Germany!”. In season 14 (2020) she came third. With twelve jungle tests, she currently holds the record for the most tests. She dropped out of the “Ge-Fahrstuhl” jungle test. Her other format participations include “Das Sommerhaus der Stars”, “Promi Big Brother”, “Das große Promi-Büßen”, “The 50” and “Reality Queens”. She was unable to win in any of the shows.

Thorsten Legat

Former footballer Thorsten Legat (55) was delighted to finish third out of twelve in 2016, only losing to Menderes Bağcı and Sophia Wollersheim. In the camp, he liked to threaten trouble or riots, and stood out for his ambition and will to win. Since taking part, he has been part of the jungle camp inventory and was there as a special guest in 2019 and 2020. With his mental and physical strength, the “Summer House” runner-up now wants to win the jungle crown.

Gigi Birofio

TV Casanova Gigi Birofio (25) scored points in season 16 with his goofy nature and was able to take second place out of twelve last year behind Djamila Rowe. He had previously become known through dating shows such as “Ex on the Beach”. In formats such as “Kampf der Realitystars” or “Sommerhaus der Stars” he was less convincing than in the jungle. In the latter, he and his then partner were even taken off the show.

Eric Stehfest

Another prince is in the camp: former “GZSZ” actor Eric Stehfest (35) from season 15 of 2022 only had to admit defeat to jungle king Filip Pavlović in the field of eleven candidates. “I am the jungle prince, I have grown up in the last two years and now it’s time to become king,” he says motivatedly. He also sees it as an advantage that he has already been to the jungle camp in South Africa. The 2022 edition took place there due to the pandemic. Stehfest already took home a show victory in “Dancing on Ice” in 2019. He was also able to gain further reality TV experience in the “Sommerhaus der Stars” in 2023.

If the viewers could vote, Elena Miras (around 643,000) and Gigi Birofio (around 533,000) would probably have had a good chance of winning. The two have the largest number of followers on Instagram. Behind them are Georgina Fleur (around 400,000), Danni Büchner (around 340,000), Kader Loth (around 244,000), Giulia Siegel (around 208,000) and Eric Stehfest (around 182,000). Sarah Knappik (almost 95,000), David Ortega (almost 79,000), Thorsten Legat (almost 57,000) and Mola Adebisi (almost 31,000) follow at a distance. Hanka Rackwitz and Winfried Glatzeder do not have an Instagram profile at all.
