Things are going well professionally for “Lion’s Den” star Tijen Onaran, but in her private life she is facing a major upheaval – the separation from her husband.
For eleven years, entrepreneur Tijen Onaran (39) and entrepreneur Marco Duller-Onaran (41) have lived together – eight of them as a married couple. But now the investor from the VOX start-up show “Die Höhle der Löwen” announced that the two have decided to “go their separate ways privately”. In the long and joint statement, the ex-partners also explain how they came to this difficult decision.
Both had to admit “that two people, a couple, have developed and outgrown their own marriage.” Of course, they are sad about this development – especially because they can look back on “a good time together and many wonderful moments.” Ultimately, however, both want to look to the future. Despite the end of the marriage, this should not take place completely separately from each other.
On the one hand, it is not the “usual cliché” when they write that “we still feel close friends”. On the other hand, they also want to continue to work together professionally: “We are simply a perfect match and have not only built an incredible amount together. We will also continue to work for our joint companies with the same standards and passion that unites us. Exciting projects await us. We will remain connected as business partners.”
Out of respect for their private lives, the two ask for understanding at the end of their statement and to refrain from further questions.
A lioness since 2023
The Karlsruhe native met and fell in love with her future husband shortly after graduating. After about three years, the wedding bells rang. Outside the business scene, she became known to a wider audience when she replaced investor Judith Williams (52) in the 14th season of “Die Höhle der Löwen” in 2023. She can also be seen in the current anniversary season, which started on Monday, alongside Carsten Maschmeyer (65), Ralf Dümmel (57) and co.
