The ruling party published decree 785/2024 this morning and considered “inadmissible” the petition presented jointly by the Bar Association of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires; the organizations It Will Be Justice, Joint Republican Action (ACR), Civil Association Power Plant of Justice, Entre Rios Without Corruption, Republican Teachers; and the lawyers Alejandro Fargosi, Daniel Sabsay, Pablo Pirovano, Gerardo Enrique Vega, Alberto Fidel Cohan, Ezequiel Nino, Alejandro Drucaroff, Marcelo de Jesus and Marcelo Camerini.
The text explains that the applicants “filed an appeal for review under the terms of article 22 of Law No. 19,549 (according to the text in force at the time of its filing) and They requested the annulment of the “administrative act” whereby the proposal for the appointment of Dr. Ariel Oscar Lijo to fill a vacant position in the Supreme Court was submitted to the Senate, because this request for a senatorial agreement allegedly did not meet the essential requirements provided for in the aforementioned law.”
The response stated “that None of the grounds that would make a review appeal viable are established as the one attempted, which fully leads to its formal inadmissibility.”
