In Düsseldorf, various celebrities are eagerly awaiting the exhibition fight between entertainer Stefan Raab and Regina Halmich. There is great speculation as to what the former “TV total” presenter is planning.
Comedian Cindy from Marzahn would be happy to see more Stefan Raab in front of the camera. “I think it’s good that he’s back,” the 52-year-old told the German Press Agency in Düsseldorf shortly before Raab’s expected TV comeback – a boxing match against Regina Halmich. The comedian, whose real name is Ilka Bessin, also added on the sidelines of the event broadcast by RTL: “And I would be even happier if he were to do TV again – also in front of the camera.”
Raab has been off the screen for almost a decade after saying goodbye to his viewers in 2015. Since then, the former “TV total” presenter has worked behind the scenes in the television industry. This time was to end on Saturday evening – the now 57-year-old wanted to get into the ring against Halmich for entertainment, as he did in 2001 and 2007.
What the presenter looks like now and what he plans to do afterwards remained a big mystery. Cindy from Marzahn speculated that Raab might have gotten “old”. “Perhaps he needs a little longer to get into the ring,” she said.
But she doesn’t know anything either – she’s looking forward to the fight like everyone else. “You can’t get anything out of anyone!” she complained. “I’ve secretly listened to people here, sat on the toilet for extra long – to see if anyone would sit down next to me and talk. I haven’t found out anything. Nothing!”
