Abuse, threats, sex parties: Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing serious allegations and is in custody. He is now trying to get out of it.
US rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs (54) is trying to be released from custody. The musician’s lawyers appealed a judge’s decision not to conditionally release Combs until the trial began, according to court documents available to the German Press Agency in New York. There was initially no reaction from the court. A date for a possible start of the trial has not yet been set.
Combs has been in custody for about two weeks. The rapper is accused of sex trafficking, organized crime and other crimes. Combs pleaded not guilty. There are also several civil lawsuits alleging sexual abuse. A legal team in Houston, Texas, plans to publish further lawsuits on Tuesday. With hits like “I’ll Be Missing You” and “Bad Boy For Life,” Combs has been one of the most successful rappers in the world in recent decades.
