News from “Germany’s Next Top Model”: Filming for the 20th season begins – and Heidi Klum will continue to look for a model.
German viewers won’t have to do without Heidi Klum (51) in the future either. As the private broadcaster ProSieben announced on October 9th, the cooperation had been extended “by several years”. The next season of her casting show “Germany’s Next Top Model” is already in progress.
Filming starts in Munich
Klum has been presenting the format in which young models are being sought since 2006. In 2024, male candidates were also allowed to compete for the first time, which will soon give the host the “Blue Panther TV & Streaming Award”. On October 23rd she will be honored with the renowned media award in the entertainment category for the 19th season of “Germany’s Next Top Model”. And fans of the show can rejoice – because there is no end in sight.
The private broadcaster now announced: “More #GNTM. More ProSieben. More Joyn. Heidi Klum and ProSieben are extending their collaboration by several years. And not only that. Filming begins today for the glamorous, 20th anniversary season of ‘Germany’s Next Top Model – by Heidi Klum in Munich.” As a press release also states, in addition to the TV broadcast, there will be “additional” “GNTM” content on Joyn in the future.
Heidi Klum is quoted as saying: “I’m really very proud of all the candidates who have taken part so far. I’m happy that, together with ProSieben, I can give great people a special stage with #GNTM for the next few years.”
The mother of four, who has lived in Los Angeles for many years, reported from her old home on Tuesday. “Tired but made it to Germany,” Klum wrote. She was apparently warmly welcomed in Munich: “And look who picked me up at the airport. My mom.” The presenter, who comes from Bergisch-Gladbach, posted a photo of herself sitting in the car next to her mother Erna. The anniversary season is scheduled to air in spring 2025.
