“Let’s Dance” couple Patricija and Alexandru: These are the names of their babies

So now it’s out: Elison and Melody are the latest additions to the “Let’s Dance” family. This is what the proud parents Patricija (29) and Alexandru Ionel (30) have.

“We are so excited to introduce you to our two new family members: Elison Amory and Melody Amory! Both names have a special meaning for us,” the couple wrote about a photo that shows the four of them together. While the father holds the little boy in his hands and beams lovingly at him, the same thing happens between mother and daughter. The family is dressed in white, and the two women are each wearing a bow headband.

Reference to brother, last name and music

They reveal the meanings of the names to their almost 200,000 followers on Instagram: “Elison contains the same letters as Noelis, our great treasure, and so the two brothers have a special connection,” it says, alluding to their firstborn. But that’s not all: “Our last name Ionel can also be found in Noelis and Elison, which symbolizes the unity of our family,” they enthuse about the extended family happiness. And then there is the little girl, the Ionels’ first daughter: “Melody is a beautiful, sonorous name that fits our artistic family perfectly and reflects the music in our lives,” explain Patricija and Alexandru in their post of the same name.

Remembering your own pet names

Elison and Melody also share a middle name. There is also something special about Amory; it underlines their close bond as siblings.

This second name also reminds the couple, who became known as dance professionals in the TV show “Let’s Dance”, of their own pet names. “Alex and I have been calling ourselves ‘Amore Mio’ since my time in Italy because we have always found this name to be particularly beautiful. As a loving diminutive, we sometimes even say Amorik and refer to ourselves as ‘Amoriki’.” The twins are also integrated into this special connection through their shared middle name. They close their post with “We couldn’t be happier to share this special time with you.” Patricija and Alexandru Ionel have been married since 2022.
