Rosie O’Donnell’s daughter is in custody. The accusation: drugs and neglect of her baby. This is what the comedian says about the matter.
The US comedian and actress Rosie O’Donnell (62) has spoken out after her daughter Chelsea Belle (27) was arrested again. She had been in a Wisconsin prison since September 10th, but was released a few days later after posting bail. However, Chelsea Belle has been in custody again since October 11th – among other things for violating bail conditions.
The charges, according to court documents, are: child neglect, drug possession and drug trafficking. According to the report, she was originally found in possession of THC, amphetamines, illegally obtained medications and drug paraphernalia. Rosie O’Donnell’s daughter is now also accused of resisting law enforcement officers. According to media reports, Chelsea Belle is said to have lived amidst garbage and feces with her eleven-month-old son Atlas. The first court hearings are scheduled to take place on November 4th and 7th.
The police officer almost vomited when he entered the apartment
Chelsea Belle originally called the police herself after an argument with her boyfriend. However, when officers arrived on scene, she allegedly tried to downplay the matter. But the police did not allow themselves to be brushed off and subsequently found a living situation in their house that was unacceptable for children and also confiscated numerous drugs. Then the handcuffs clicked on Chelsea Belle. As an officer reported, he almost vomited when he entered the apartment. He found dirty diapers, used feminine hygiene products and dirty underwear surrounded by trash.
J spoke out about the allegations against her daughter, whom she adopted as a baby together with her ex-wife Kelli Carpenter (57). In her statement accompanying a photo of her daughter, Rosie O’Donnell wrote: “Chelsea is in the news today – this is a photo from a better time.” Unfortunately, the reports are not news for the family: “Chelsea has been battling drug addiction for a decade.” Everyone would hope that she will find a way out of this “deadly disease.”
