Lots of stars at Kamala Harris events
The Democrats ended their US election campaign with campaign rallies in various cities. Many stars appeared.
One evening before the US election on November 5th, presidential candidate Kamala Harris (60) had concentrated star power at various campaign events under the motto “Vote for Freedom”. Lady Gaga (38), Katy Perry (40), Jon Bon Jovi (62), Christina Aguilera (43) and will.i.am (49) were among the prominent supporters of the Democrats’ last campaign. There were events in several cities on the eve of the election, including Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Detroit and Las Vegas.
Lady Gaga appeals to the audience: “The country depends on you”
Lady Gaga performed in Philadelphia on Monday evening and performed the songs “God Bless America” and “Edge of Glory”. She appealed to the crowd: “The country depends on you.” She continued: “For more than half of this country’s history, women have had no voice. Yet we have raised children, we have kept our families together, we have supported men in their decisions – but tomorrow women will be involved in those decisions.” Oprah Winfrey (70) then announced will.i.am’s new song “Yes She Can” before Kamala Harris took the stage for the final speech of the evening.
Artist only announced shortly beforehand
The line-up for the star-studded Kamala Harris concert had been kept under wraps for weeks. The artists were only announced on Monday, not just for one concert, but also for parallel concerts in seven swing states. The rallies on the eve of the 2024 election were preceded by a wave of support for the vice president from Hollywood. Beyoncé (43), Harrison Ford (82) and Jennifer Lawrence (34) are among the prominent Harris supporters.
