Eva Longoria on Trump-USA: At least I can escape
Actress Eva Longoria campaigned hard for Kamala Harris during the US election campaign. After President Donald Trump’s re-election, she feels sorry for people who are stuck in the country.
US actress Eva Longoria says she is happy to be able to leave the country after the recent US elections. “I’m privileged,” the 49-year-old told Marie Claire magazine. “I can escape and go somewhere. Most Americans are not so lucky. They will be stuck in this dystopian country, and my fear and sadness is theirs.”
According to Marie Claire, Longoria and her husband José Bastón have been living between Mexico and Spain with their son for several years. Trump was re-elected President of the USA last week. Longoria had previously campaigned for his Democratic opponent Kamala Harris over the past few months. The fact “that a convicted criminal who spreads so much hate can hold the highest office” is shocking to her, Longoria said. If Trump keeps his campaign promises, the US will be “a scary place.”
