Pete Davidson: No more headlines about his love life

Pete Davidson (31) has had enough of the headlines about his private life. “I was hit in the face by the Hollywood shovel.” “This has been a long time coming and I needed it. I’m very happy where I am now, mentally.”

Instead of his relationships, he wants to be known “for doing good work. I only want to be seen if it’s a movie, stand-up, charity or business venture. That’s the only time I want to be seen. I want to “Don’t be that damn loser who just dates people. That’s not who I am.”

The comedian has made headlines in the past with his relationships with Kim Kardashian (44), Ariana Grande (31) and Kate Beckinsale (51), among others. Davidson also spoke on the “Real Ones” podcast in March 2023 about his fascination with his dating life – which he apparently doesn’t understand. “I’m in my 20s and I meet people. And for some reason that’s very crazy and interesting to people. I don’t think that’s interesting.”

He also made it clear that he met all the women he met at work. “I wasn’t in anyone’s DMs, nobody was in mine,” he said. “I was working in one of the five Hollywood epicenters where you meet people, and this is what happened.”

His life as a “celebrity” is now over, Davidson continued in the “W” interview. He now wants to adopt a new strategy professionally: “I made the mistake of doing literally everything. Now I’m older and wiser, and I realize that less is more. Like Christian Bale. He makes a film every two or three years , but you have to fucking watch it.” Leonardo DiCaprio makes “a film every four years, but it’s the biggest thing in the world.” His thesis is: “It’s because you miss them. People must miss you.”
