Elton John and husband enter second decade of marriage
Pop legend Elton John and his husband celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary. They were once absolute pioneers in Great Britain.
Pop legend Elton John (77) and his husband David Furnish (62) have started their second decade of marriage. “Happy anniversary to us,” the couple wrote on Instagram over the weekend. They also posted a photo together that appeared to have been taken during a boat trip on vacation.
The British singer and the Canadian filmmaker have been a couple since 1993 and have two sons together. They married in 2014 – on the first day same-sex marriages became possible in the UK. Furnish also directed the new documentary “Elton John: Never Too Late” about his husband’s life.
Numerous people congratulated the couple on their wedding anniversary on Instagram, including model Linda Evangelista and fashion designer Donatella Versace.
