Rihanna welcomes 2025 on Instagram with a clip to fans. “I haven’t drunk anything all year,” she says.
Rihanna (36) welcomed 2025 with a video message to her more than 150 million followers on Instagram. and entrepreneur loudly recites the last few seconds of the New Year before announcing with obvious joy: “Guys, I haven’t had a drink all year! I haven’t had a drink all year.”
Apparently she spent the New Year with some friends, and several people can be seen in the background of the clip. And apparently Rihanna doesn’t want to drink alcohol in 2025 either. “New year, new me,” she commented on the post.
Where is new music from Rihanna?
Her fans like the short clip. More than 1.3 million people clicked “Like” in just around eight hours. Many also send New Year’s greetings or express their appreciation to Rihanna.
But some can’t resist asking the singer where all the new music is. Their last studio album to date, “Anti,” was released at the beginning of 2016. “New year, old albums,” jokes one user. “Mamaaaa, use that voice to sing, we crave it,” commented another. And another writes: “I thought it was the countdown to the release of the album.”
Maybe Rihanna will soon surprise her fans with a very special duet. When asked a few weeks ago which act was her dream partner to collaborate with, the 36-year-old replied: “If only I could do a song with Billie Eilish… She’s so good.” Eilish was visibly honored in December and declared that Rihanna was her idol. The 23-year-old is open to anything: “I’ll really do anything you want. That’s so crazy.”
