A British man was among the 14 people killed in the New Orleans attack. His stepmother once looked after Princes William and Harry when they experienced their darkest hour.
Among those killed in the attack in the US city of New Orleans is a Briton who is reportedly the stepson of a former nanny of Princes William and Harry. Princess Kate and he were shocked and saddened by the man’s tragic death, heir to the throne William said. Our thoughts are with the family and all the innocent people affected by the terrible attack.
As the Telegraph and other British media reported, the Briton who was killed was the 31-year-old stepson of a woman who had been the two princes’ nanny from 1993 to 1999. Also at the time (1997) when the mother of the two young princes, Princess Diana, died in a car accident in Paris. According to the Telegraph, William and Harry are godfathers of one of the biological sons of the former nanny, who is now 59 years old.
An assassin inspired by the terrorist organization Islamic State (IS) drove his pickup truck into a crowd in the popular French Quarter nightlife district of New Orleans on New Year’s morning. 14 people were killed, the perpetrator died after an exchange of fire with the police.
