Payne and his wife, the Swedish model Jennifer Åkerman (34), brooded the fire, where the family wanted to live in the future. The risk of fire in the Hollywood Hills is omnipresent and life in the United States is generally difficult, the 41-year-old continues: “It is different from the country in which we in love and in which we wanted to move. “For us it would make sense to live there because there is free childcare. And it is simply a bit mixed and cosmopolitan than, for example, Munich. My wife and I actually like it very much as it is los Angeles. London would also be Another option, but it is so expensive.

In addition, emigration to Berlin could also be beneficial for its acting career. At the end of the year, the film “Der Medicus 2” comes to cinemas – a German production in the original English language with Tom Payne in the title. In the first part, he had his first leading role in 2013 and celebrated international successes.

He wanted to further expand his relationships with the German film industry, said Payne, and takes the fire as an opportunity to spend more time in Germany. However, a final decision about the future place of residence of his family has not yet been made: “Ultimately, we will do what the best for our children is.”

Tom Payne was born in Essex English, but now also has the American citizenship. He has been married to Jennifer Åkerman since 2020. In addition to his twins, the couple also has a son born in 2022.
