Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip von Sweden have become parents for the fourth time. The baby was born on Friday.
Young people in the Swedish royal family: Princess Sofia (40) and Prince Carl Philip (45) can look forward to the birth of their first daughter. As the royal house in Stockholm announced, the little princess saw the light of day on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 1:10 p.m. in the Danderyds Hospital. Mother and child are well.
“The office of the Reichsmarschall is pleased that her royal highness Princess Sofia on Friday, February 7, 2025, gave birth to a healthy daughter in Danderyd at 1.10 p.m.”.
Three brothers for the little princess
The newborn princess, whose name has not yet been announced, is the fourth child of the couple. Three sons already belong to the family: Prince Alexander (8), Prince Gabriel (7) and Prince Julian (3).
the three boys could hardly wait to meet their little sister. “They were very excited before birth,” said the 40-year-old. Now the proud brothers finally have a sister that they can take care of.
Sofia and Carl Philip have been married since 2015 – in June they celebrate their tenth wedding day.
Ninth grandchild for the king
With the birth of the little princess, King Carl Gustaf (78) and Queen Silvia (81) are also happy about her ninth grandchild.
The little princess is now part of the crowd of royal grandchildren, which also includes the two children of Crown Princess Victoria (47) and Prince Daniel (51), Princess Estelle (12) and Prince Oscar (8), as well as the three sprouts by Princess Madeleine (42) and Christopher O’Neill (50), Princess Leonore (10), Prince Nicolas (9) and Princess Adrienne (6).
