Turn start for comeback: The costumes pinch at “Stromberg”
More than 20 years after the start of “Stromberg”, Christoph Maria Herbst comes back as an office flock – in the cinema, in streaming and on television. When exactly is certain.
Fans of “Stromberg” can be happy: There is an appointment for the return of the office grades played by Christoph Maria Herbst. The theatrical release of “Stromberg – The New Film” is planned for December 4, 2025, the producers said. Filming in Cologne and Berlin have already started.
Should everything work out, it would be a comeback for “Stromberg” after many years. The comedy series by Creator Ralf Husmann ran at ProSieben between 2004 and 2012. After the end there was already a film in 2014.
“Stromberg”: The texts learn more slowly
Leading actor Christoph Maria Herbst indicated that the time did not pass the participants without a trace. “The time machine is in full swing,” he said in a statement at the start of the shoot. “Our mask times have doubled, the costumes pinch a little, the text learns more slowly”. Otherwise everything is “as always and that’s a good thing”.
Autumn, as an unappeal, was Bernd Stromberg, a prototype of the unpleasant boss, once suddenly become famous. At the end of 2024, the producers surprisingly announced a comeback from the cult figure.

After the theatrical release, “Stromberg – The New Film” should be shown at Prime Video. He is then broadcast on ProSieben. It is produced by Madefor Film in cooperation with Prime Video, Sevenpictures for ProSieben and Banijay Media Germany.
