Sarah Michelle Gellar: She mourns the same as colleague Michelle Trachtenberg

Numerous fans, colleagues and friends said goodbye to the US actress after the surprising death of Michelle Trachtenberg (1985 – 2025). The star of “Buffy – in the spell of the demons”, Sarah Michelle Gellar (47), also publicly commented on Trachtenberg’s death on February 27, which was 39 years old.

“Buffy- In the spell of the demons” is probably one of the best known and most popular series of the 1990s and early 2000s. Gellar embodied the eponymous figure Buffy Summers, Trachtenberg played her younger sister Dawn. Published several photos on Thursday that show the two together.

Sarah Michelle Gellar writes a few – but moving – lines from the common past for the pictures. In a modified quote from “Buffy” she explains to her serial nurse: “Michelle, listen to me. Listen to me. I love you. I will always love you. The hardest thing in this world is to live in it. I will be brave. I will live … for you.”

In addition to Gellar, other actresses from “Buffy”, including James Marsters (62), Alyson Hannigan (50) or David Boreanaz (55), have already spoken.

Charisma Carpenter (54), who played Cordelia Chase, also mourns the loss of her late colleague. The two were obviously not too close, but still writes that the surprising death of Trachtenberg was very depressing. “I didn’t know Michelle as well as some of my other ‘Buffy’ colleagues, but it is never easy to see someone who is so young, smart, beautiful and promising. It is even devastating,” she writes. Carpenter expressed their deep condolences to everyone who knew Trachtenberg better.

On February 26, it became known that Michelle Trachtenberg died at the age of 39. According to US reports, the police exclude foreign or self-fault. The actress had only recently had to undergo a liver transplant. It is assumed that complications could have occurred in this regard.
