People: Kim Basinger: I have loving relationship with ex alec Baldwin

They once belonged to Hollywood’s most coveted dream couples, but later fought a divorce dispute for years: but now Oscar winner Kim Basinger (71) is on the phone regularly with her ex-husband Alec Baldwin (66) and is happy about the new woman in his life. “Alec and I have a great relationship,” Basinger explained to the US magazine “Variety”.

She does not see her former husband very often and does not spend “Christmas and the holidays” with him, Basinger explained. “But we talk to each other. He takes the listener and calls me, and in many ways we have a very warm and, I think, loving relationship, simply because we have a daughter together.”

Basinger and her acting colleague Baldwin married in 1993, in 1995 her daughter Ireland was born. But in 2002 the marriage failed dramatically and a long -term headlining legal dispute over the custody of Ireland.

“I wish him nothing more than all the best.”

Today she wishes him “nothing more than all the best,” Basinger explained. “He has gone through a lot lately,” she said of Baldwin, who was recently in the headlines after a fatal shot on a camera. But Baldwin’s wife Hilaria, with whom he has been married since 2012 and has seven children together, “seems to have a good grip,” added Basinger. “So, all respect for her.”

During filming the film “Rust” in October 2021, the 42-year-old camera woman Halyna Hutchins was fatally injured in the US state of New Mexico when a shot from a requisite weapon was served by Baldwin. A real ball had put in the colt. The actor had been charged with negligent killing. In July 2024, the judge hired the trial.
