Monika Lundi is dead. The actress died according to a media report at the age of 82.

Just six weeks after the death of the popular actor Horst Janson (1935-2025), his second wife Monika Lundi (1942-2025) died. The actress, who was married to Janson from 1973 to 1976, died in Munich at the age of 82.

Lundi is said to have spent her last days in a clinic, where she apparently fell asleep peacefully on Wednesday (February 26). She suffered from severe breathing problems and had pneumonia. “Monika became weaker every day,” the newspaper quotes a friend of the actress.

Even after the end of their marriage, the two stayed in good contact, Lundi was then married twice, with the director Hartmut Griesmayr (79) and most recently from 1989 until his death with actor Hans Stetter (1927-2019). Next to his grave, Lundi should find her final resting place.

She played next to Roy Black

Lundi made a career as a photo model in the 1960s and was seen in 1968 in a leading role in the film comedy “The Go-Go girl from Blow-up”. She became known to a wider audience by the series “Von Liebe no speech” (1971), in 1972 she played alongside Roy Black (1943-1991) in the home film “Grün is the Heide”.

With her ex-husband Horst Janson, she took the record “We want it” in 1975, a German version of Paul Ankas “Having My Baby”.

Monika Lundi made headlines at the end of the 1970s when she showed her colleague Burkhard Driest (1939-2020) during an acting course in Santa Monica for rape.

From the 1980s, Lundi was repeatedly seen on television, including in the “crime scene”, at “Marienhof” or “The Bull of Tölz”.
