Millie Bobby Brown had her breakthrough on the Netflix show “Stranger Things” as a child. Now she is grown up and married – but some media did not want to admit that, she criticizes.
“Stranger Things” actress Millie Bobby Brown defends itself on Instagram against reporting on her appearance, which she perceives hurtful. “I grew up in front of the world, and for some reason people don’t seem to be able to grow up with me,” says the 21-year-old British in a video that she spread on Instagram.
Millie Bobby Brown became known to “Stranger Things”
Brown was still a child when the first season of the Netflix series “Stranger Things” was released in 2016. People wished that she still looked like it was then. “But because I don’t do that, I become a target,” said Brown. She quoted headlines about her appearance and summarized them with: “This is not journalism. This is bullying.” Brown also wished: “Let’s do it better. Not only for me, but for every young girl.”
The British plays the role of the Eleven, a girl with supernatural skills in the mystery show “Stranger Things”. Last year she married Jake Bongiovi, the son of US rocker Jon Bon Jovi.
