The deceased dog is said to be her Australian-Kelpie-Mischling Zinna. In addition to the German Shepherd, the third dog named Nikita is still alive.

There are now also new findings on the cause of death. The New Mexico Gas Company had confirmed that there were “no significant findings”. Only a “tiny” gas leak was found on one of the gas burners on the stove. 0.33 percent gas was in the air, which, however, could not have caused death according to the judgment of the Sheriff office. The riddle of the cause of death of the couple and their dog remains unsolved. According to the investigators, there were also no signs of external violence.
