Actress Halle Berry was one of the star guests of this year’s Met Gala. The 58-year-old attracted many looks with a revealing dress.
Actress Halle Berry presented a very daring outfit at the Met Gala in New York City. The 58-year-old step in a transparent dress with a deep neckline over the blue carpet. The robe in mermaid style designed by designer Laquan Smith was completely transparent, with the exception of some particularly strategically placed dark longitudinal strips, which covered the bare essentials. There was nothing to see from underwear at Berry’s appearance.
Halle Berry wore a veil, a fascinator and a short, black blazer with shoulder pads to the dress that expired in a train. She had styled her hair for the prestigious fashion event into an elegant updo. The film star also provided additional glamor with a diamond necklace and suitable earrings.

Halle Berry: This is the inspiration behind her Met Gala dress
This year’s topic of the Met Gala was “superfine: Tailoring Black Style”, with the dress code “Tailored for You”. The designer of Halle Berry’s dress explained to the US magazine: “I’ve always been inspired by the nature of the Harlem Renaissance and this jazzy era.” Laquan Smith added: “For me, sharp cuts and exaggerated shoulders are what I have always built into my collections. I also love the 80s and the fearlessness of Josephine Baker, so I think that you will find something of the essence of all these things in the design.”
The most important event in the fashion industry took place on Monday evening in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The fashion oscars, as the event is also called, focused on men’s fashion and the color black. In the new exhibition of the museum, inspired by Monica L. Miller’s book “Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity”, clothing, paintings or photographs, which show the style of black dandyism from the 18th century to this day.
