Did you know that toilet paper is not the only way to keep the most valuable clean? In other countries, the podusche is part of standard equipment.
There are numerous alternatives that are even significantly more hygienic – and on top of that also better for the environment. You can find out which these are and what you need to know about the application here.
The podusche
In countries like Dubai, Cairo, Japan or India, it is common to wash the most valuable after the toilet. For Oliver Elsoud, the founder of the decision was obvious to invent a specially usable podus – with which he applied in 2017 at the “Löwen cave” and dusted a deal. But how exactly does the device actually work? They fill the shower with water, hold it onto the desired body region after the shop and steer the water jet by hand, without any batteries. This is not only more hygienic than toilet paper, but also more environmentally friendly in consumption.
The mobile bidet
Here, too, the principle is the same, but in contrast to the podusche mentioned above, this will connected directly to a water pipe. The set includes a hand shower, a hose, a bracket and two seals so that you can install the device comfortably and easily in the bathroom. The bidet is not only suitable as a toilet or hygiene shower, but can also be converted as a baby, dog or garden shower. It is not suitable for on the go.
The hip bathroom
As the name suggests, it is Around a small tub that you place on the toilet seat and fill with warm water before you sit on it. Usually, the bathroom primarily serves to relieve pain in the butt, reduce inflammation or to improve blood flow – it is therefore primarily aimed at people suffering from hemorrhoids of an anal fissure. In fact, the seat bath can also be used to improve hygiene by using the water instead of toilet paper to clean the most valuable.
The washcloth
When our grandparents were still children, she had to cope with significantly poorer sanitary standards. Even then, hygiene articles were in short supply, so most families used as a toilet paper alternative. And even today you are used in many households with small children – so why not use for adults? After all, the rags can be cleaned and reused after use in the washing machine – however, make sure that they consist of pure cotton so that they can be washed to 60 degrees to kill all germs.
That’s why Klopapier is bad for the environment
Did you know that every German consumes up to 46 roles toilet paper in one year? These are tons of garbage mountains that end up in the wastewater every year. It is much worse, however, that frighteningly many manufacturers use high -quality cell -fiber for production that come from freshly felled trees. According to the WWF, the wood is partially illegally and not particularly sustainably – not only in Latin America, Canada, South Africa, Russia and Asia, but also in Europe. In addition, toilet paper can often contain chemicals that cause allergic reactions or skin irritation. So it can certainly not hurt to use one of the above alternatives.
