Several young people between the ages of 13 and 18 founded a “sprayer group” on social networks in the Kirchdorf district in mid-February. On Tuesday evening, the members of this group defaced a property wall of a hotel over almost ten meters with various writings, according to the police. They also sprayed traffic signs in the market town beyond recognition in the same place. Around the same time, the group damaged a vacant single-family home with the same graffiti writing.
On Wednesday evening, four group members met again in the area of a railway underpass and sprayed similar motifs and lettering on the wall of the underpass and on a place-name sign. This was observed by a resident and reported to the police, who arrived a few minutes later and checked two of the four youths. The two suspects mostly confessed during questioning. The two refugees came to the police station voluntarily a short time later.
The graffiti caused damage amounting to several thousand euros. The four youths are reported to the public prosecutor’s office.
