Oedt gets a Bundesliga coach for the 1b team

According to OÖN-Info, Kurt Russ, a former Oberhaus coach, is now taking over the 1b team from OÖ-Legist Oedt in the Landesliga Ost. “Mr. Russ will look after our 1b team from January,” confirms club president Franz Grad.

After the departure of master trainer Andreas Luksch, the Trauner team found a new coach for the second team. Grad: “We also want to be more professional in the 1b team. In Mr. Russ we have found a coach who has already proven that he can lead young players to adulthood.”

The 58-year-old connects several things with the Upper Austrian lower house: Russ ended his active career with Hörsching, Marchtrenk or Rüstorf, among others. “Because of his quality and his living situation (note: Russ lives in Leonding), he is a very interesting man,” says Oedt sports director Gerald Baumgartner, who knows the native of Styria very well: During Baumgartner’s commitment to the then Bundesliga club Mattersburg, he trusted him from 2016 to in 2018 to Russ as his assistant coach.
