The central midfielder was able to impress as a test player during the December preparations and has been given a long-term contract with Linz. Until the end of the season, the Serbian U21 international is loaned to the Portuguese second division club SC Uniao Torreense to gain match practice there.
Trained in the youth departments of the Belgrade clubs Partizan and Cukaricki, the 20-year-old has already played 71 competitive games for the Serbian first division club Cukaricki despite his young age. Furthermore, Jovan Lukic can refer to six appearances for Serbia’s U21 national team. As a test player, he played the December preparation with LASK and was used in all three test games (Admira, St. Pölten, Bayreuth).
“Jovan has a lot of potential, so we signed him. So that he can develop in the best possible way, we have decided to loan him out for the time being. So he gets the necessary game practice,” says LASK sports director Radovan Vujanovic about the transfer.
