Mühlböck Holztrocknungsanlagen GmbH, founded by Kurt Mühlböck in Eberschwang in 1982, employs 160 people. From the very beginning, the company has specialized in the development and manufacture of efficient and energy-saving drying technologies for wood. According to the company, it is now an international leader in this field. More than 13,000 drying systems are successfully in operation worldwide. All engineering and manufacturing steps are carried out in-house.
More employees are being sought, recently 26 employee anniversaries were celebrated. Managing Director Richard Mühlböck highlighted two employees in the group of jubilarians who have been with the company for 30 years. Six of the jubilees have been on board since their apprenticeship and hold managerial positions in the company. “The much-cited ‘career with an apprenticeship’ is possible with us for every interested young person,” says Mühlböck. According to the company, a special process for a quick and uncomplicated application was installed last year, in which all applicants received an answer within one working day and within just four days an appointment for an introductory interview.
Due to technological advances, Mühlböck wood drying systems have developed into an important player in the wood industry with a high international market share. The family-run business is an important employer in the region around Eberschwang.
“Our workforce identifies strongly with our company. We are convinced that wood as a material will shape our future more than ever, whether in the construction sector, in industry or as an energy source. Domestic wood is crisis-proof and our technology is highly efficient,” says Richard Mühlböck, who has been managing the company since 2018.
