The Styrian improved from fourth place on the normal hill to third place after the 10 km cross-country skiing and thus won his fourth World Championship bronze medal after a triple in Seefeld 2019. Rehrl came 21.0 seconds behind the Norwegian title defender Jarl Magnus Riiber crossed the finish line, the German Julian Schmid took silver (+19.4).

Salzburg’s Stefan Rettenegger finished seventh, Tyrolean overall World Cup leader Johannes Lamparter eleventh and Styrian Martin Fritz 14th.
