With the support of the Upper Austria News, the entire Kasberg family ski area will be transformed into a charming open-air tavern on Saturday. The ski gourmet experience “Der Kasberg kocht” is announced for the sixth time. Winter sports enthusiasts are not only spoiled with top slopes, but also with culinary delights and music.

The spectacle last took place in winter 2019. Those responsible canceled the appointment the following year because of the lockdown for safety that was just around the corner. So fans of the events had to wait three years. The conditions are all the better this year. “The snow is perfect, the winter landscape on the Kasberg is indescribably beautiful,” says Stefan Schimpl from the Traunsee-Almtal Tourist Association.

The hut keepers and top chefs pamper their guests on Saturday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. or until the meal is eaten. Jochen Neustifter (“JO’s Restaurant” in Vorchdorf), Robert Letz (known from “Guten Morgen Österreich”), Tom Weber (“dasFiaker” in Laakirchen), Reini Stadler (Stadler butcher) and the Eiermacher (from Kremsmünster) swing the wooden spoon. The main scenes of the action are the Sepp-Huber-Hütte, the Kasbergalm, the Sonnalm and the Hochberghaus. But there are other pleasure hotspots throughout the ski area.

The supporting program was further developed this year. With the LifeRadio DJ Flo Strohofer on the Kasberg snow groomer, the organizers will be on the move across the entire ski area and rock the huts. There will also be a live radio party, an après-ski party, a food truck and a competition.
