At its most recent general meeting, the market music in Vorchdorf, the largest cultural association in the market town, repositioned itself and was greatly rejuvenated. With Christina Meingassner (27) and Andreas Kramesberger (27) there is a management duo for the first time in the history of the club. The two replaced Stefan Hörtenhuber, who was chairman of the market music for eight years. They will be supported by a board of directors that has also been greatly reduced.

Meingassner and Kramesberger are already facing a major organizational challenge in the next few months: from June 23rd to 26th, the district music festival will take place in the Schloss Eggenberg brewery.

Musically there was also a rejuvenation spurt. Lukas Spiessberger has been in charge of the club’s musical fortunes since the beginning of the year. The qualified music school teacher will compete with the market music in the concert ranking on April 16th.

As part of the general assembly, the market music nominated two new honorary bandmasters. Johannes Traunbauer was appointed Honorary Kapellmeister for his work as Kapellmeister (1993-2003) and Karl Ausserhuber for his work between 2003 and 2018.

Newly recorded in Marktmusik: Sophia Lenzeder and Marie Obermayr (both flute), Jakob Amering (trumpet), Leonhard Hörtenhuber (clarinet), Josef Hörtenhuber (percussion) and Katrin Maderthaner (trumpet).
