The actor and former California governor said he addressed those “who may have already stumbled in the wrong direction, the wrong way” in the clip released Monday.

“I want to talk to you if you’ve caught yourself thinking that someone else is inferior to you or is targeting you because of their religion or their race or their gender,” Schwarzenegger said. In the video, Schwarzenegger described his impressions of a recent visit to the Nazi death camp at Auschwitz, asking, “How can we prevent this from ever happening again?”

He reminded that hate-based movements like the Nazi regime, the South African apartheid regime or the American Confederation always ended up losing. “Throughout history, hate has always been the easy path, the path of least resistance,” Schwarzenegger said. It was always easier to find a scapegoat for a problem than to improve things on your own. “But to be clear: you will never find success at the end of this path.”
