After 70 colorful events in the past ten years, the Kunsthalle Mühlviertel is now celebrating an anniversary. It was a rocky road until the Kunst-Konserve in Aigen-Schlägl could finally be opened. The artists Angela Berger and Wolfgang Zöhrer, who died of a serious illness, worked on their life project with a lot of effort and sweat. The carpenter Hans Greiner who had an accident was also a driving force behind the project. Poetry readings, exhibitions, music concerts, theater performances: the Kunsthalle Mühlviertel has served all genres since it opened ten years ago.

For the anniversary, the team published a commemorative publication: a picture-story book for which art-interested authors from the Mühlviertel – such as Günther Wolkerstorfer, Reinhold Mitterlehner, Dominik Revertera and many others – wrote texts on pictures by Wolfgang Zöhrer and Angela Berger.

Gü Wolkerstorfer will present this work at a reading on Saturday in the Kunsthalle in Aigen-Schlägl. There is also an exhibition with pictures by Wolfgang Zöhrer from all of his creative periods and by Angela Berger. The band The Teachers will perform the musical part of the anniversary evening. The party starts at 7 p.m. on Saturday and admission is free.
