The accident happened around 1.50 p.m. in the village of Burbach near the Pfahnl mill. The exact course of the accident is unclear according to the police. Therefore, possible witnesses are asked to contact the inspection in Pregarten on telephone number 059133/4306.
This much is certain: two drivers were driving their cars on the B124 in the direction of Tragwein. After the collision, both cars went off the road. While the car of the 42-year-old from the Freistadt district came to a standstill in a meadow, the car of the 58-year-old from the Eferding district landed in the Burbach stream bed.
The 58-year-old woman was taken to the accident hospital in Linz with minor injuries. Since liquids were escaping from the vehicle, four fire brigades were deployed. The forces from Schwertberg, Mistelbach and Altaist-Hartl set up oil booms and prevented them from spreading, the state police said in the evening.
