The first Cupra-style showrooms are currently being built in this country – such as in Linz on the Industriezeile. There, the manager of the PIA location (Porsche Inter Auto), Gerald Schimetich, freed up a lot of space for the young Spanish brand. The huge showroom has been set up for a few days. “And with a living room atmosphere,” emphasized Wolfgang Wurm, Managing Director of Seat/Cupra and Skoda Austria, at the official opening.

In addition to the Linz-Industriezeile location, the Lang car dealership in Grieskirchen has already been remodeled, with five other dealers in Upper Austria to follow.

Because Wolfgang Wurm expects the dynamic brand to grow. “In the next year and a half, Cupra will bring seven new models,” says the native of Upper Austria. The Tavascan, a 4.70 meter long electric SUV, will start in April. “A lot of heart and soul goes into all models,” says Wurm – from the developers to the designers to the salespeople. The entire circle would identify with the stylish cars. What is important for the brand: The target audience is younger than that of the competition. And: “We don’t want to replace Seat, we want to complement it.” And Cupra has done that excellently so far. In January, the cumulative market share in Austria was twelve percent.
