The Franconian national soccer player Laura Wienroither has been playing for Arsenal FC in London for a year. Now the 24-year-old defender has had visitors from home: together with Laura’s parents Klaus and Nicole Wienroither and a delegation, Frankenburg’s Mayor Norbert Weber attended Arsenal’s Continental Cup game against Chelsea, which Wienroither’s team won 3-1 . The Frankenburg fans celebrated with Laura and the entire team in St. Albans, the club’s home town. The meeting was very warm and emotional. Laura was happy about the visit and the gift from the mayor of Frankenburg – a soccer ball with a personal dedication and greetings from Frankenburg.
