Jaka Primozic sprinted to ninth place on the second stage of the traditional tour. “We drove a good race and were consistently at the top,” says team manager Matej Mugerli, “the results still don’t show what the boys’ legs are like. But that will change as the season progresses. We tried to put Riccardo in position but were blocked by other teams. That’s racing. Jaka still achieved a good result with ninth place.”
In the overall classification, the Steyr-based company currently has three drivers among the top 22: Riccardo Verza, Jonas Rapp and Jaka Primozic. In the team ranking, Hrinkow Advarics is currently in sixth place, leaving pro teams such as Bardiani, Lotto and Novo Nordisk behind. However, the really difficult stages are still ahead of the participants.

A Hrinkow team was also in action at the Istrian Spring Trophy. On the last stage, with an average speed of 46 km/h, Marvin Hammerschmid came in 22nd. “The tour clearly didn’t go according to our expectations. Right from the start, falls slowed us down for the overall classification. But we’ll take good form into the next races,” says sporting director Andreas Hofer.
