As the extensive investigations by the Linz Land district police command revealed, the accused (30) is said to have broken into garages in Gallspach twice in the period from November 2022 to February this year and stole cash. He is also accused of two suppressed documents and a fuel tank fraud. Furthermore, the man is said to have driven someone else’s car without authorization in three cases.
The 30-year-old, who had previously been convicted of similar offenses, said he had no intention of stealing the vehicles. “I just like driving a car and can’t afford one myself,” he said. However, the man did not have a valid driver’s license, which is why he was also reported to the district administration authority.
