According to the police, the perpetrators – the officials assume at least three – rammed the roller door of the business warehouse with a stolen car. The shop owner caught the men in the act, but they continued their theft unimpressed and fled with the stolen bikes in a larger van.
The car that the perpetrators drove against the camp gate at high speed was probably unlocked and stolen from a nearby residential building. The noise of the broken-in gate and the noisy alarm system called the owner of the bicycle shop onto the scene, who loudly identified himself from the first floor and shouted at the perpetrators that the police were already on their way. Nevertheless, the previously unknown persons were able to capture six high-priced bicycles, four of which were e-bikes. Significant damage was done to the room. The value of the wheels alone is given as 5000 to 8000 euros per piece. They left the previously stolen and severely damaged car at the scene of the crime. The police are looking for the perpetrators.
